Meet the Founder & DirectorHi, I’m Jagreet!
In 2019, alongside Roohi Sahajpal, I launched the idea of Himmat Media with our inaugural exhibit, "Himmat: Celebrating the Women Around Us", examining intersectional stories of racialised women while managing a local music festival and studying Criminology at SFU. This sparked my passion for exploring crime's intersection with race, substance abuse, immigration, and trauma. This eventually led to my understanding and development of super culture (defined as a a collection of sub/cultures that connect together through similarities) with the goals of nurturing and actualising unity through the arts, digital marketing and communications.
Guided by Carla Chambers, Anita Lal and Jacky A. Yenga in the craft of arts administration, anti-racism, healing and liberation work as well as cultural heritage preservation, I have led disruptive festivals and cultural campaigns, achieving international status for various projects. Today, Himmat Media thrives as a creative agency, think tank and incubator, collaborating with over 75 clients, from startups to nonprofits to small to large businesses, in branding, messaging, community engagement and partnerships, event management, music marketing, and more. We focus on impactful, intersectional messaging, youth culture, and anti-racism, crafting bold, practical solutions with a powerful voice.
